Support NaVOBA and the VIP Commercial Development Program
NaVOBA has always endeavored to be an integral and collaborative partner in an ecosystem of organizations that strive to help US Military Veterans achieve post-military prosperity through entrepreneurship. Our Board of Directors seats are held by complementary partners, including the National Veterans Institute for Procurement (VIP).
We’re honored to work alongside our VIP partners to launch the VIP Commercial development program to train Certified Veteran’s Business Enterprises® to compete for contracts with NaVOBA’s Corporate Allies.
Background
- Since 2009 VIP has trained over 2,000 service-disabled and Veteran-owned small businesses nationwide on how to enter and scale in the federal sector.
- The current VIP program is funded by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce Foundation and underwritten by corporate sponsorships from Lockheed Martin and grants from U.S. Small Business Administration and the State of Maryland.
- The program is NO COST to Veteran companies for the 3-day, 27-hour certification training, including lodging and meals.
- With the support of NaVOBA and its partners, VIP is excited to expand the program to Veterans wanting to enter or scale in the commercial sector.
- The new course will use the proven methodology that created the five current VIP curriculums, which resulted in VIP graduates receiving over $17 billion in prime awards in the last 14 years.
VIP Seeks - Founding Circle Partners
In partnership with NaVOBA, VIP Seeks “Founding Circle Partners” to invest $100,000 combined in support of developing and launching the first VIP COMMERCIAL class for fifty (50) Veteran businesses. Thank you for your interest in the National Veteran Owned Business Association’s Certified Veteran’s Business Enterprise™ (VBE) and Certified Service-Disabled Veteran’s Business Enterprise™ (SDVBE) programs. This initiative creates a nationally recognized gold standard in certification for veteran-owned businesses of all sizes and enables corporate America to proactively source and confidently utilize businesses that are at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by U.S. military veterans.
