Though the state itself does not have any specific legislation giving veterans preferences, it is important to note both the efforts and actions that Senator Jeanne Shaheen has done for veterans across the nation. In July 2015, President Obama signed into law Chair Shaheen’s Veterans Entrepreneurship Act, a bill to lower the cost of Small Business Administration loan programs designed to help veterans start and grow their small business. She is still driving for more legislation benefitting veterans.
