When and how did you start your business?
Homsi Senior Care, LLC (HomsiCare) is a licensed Residential Service Agency (#RSA-01424) based in Maryland. Founded in 2020 by Steve Tchoupe, BSN, MHM, MHA, following entrepreneurial training with Project Opportunity, the company was inspired by personal experiences with inadequate home care. Its mission is to deliver holistic, reliable and dignified in-home care solutions.
What challenges did you face when starting your business?
The company was created after Steve Tchoupe faced difficulties entrusting his care to others despite being a nurse himself. This experience, compounded by his father’s struggle with diabetes-related complications and lack of adequate home care, motivated him to establish Homsi Senior Care, LLC. The goal was to provide holistic, reliable and dignified home care solutions.
