"Cyber Security Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, and Engineering Services"

Who are your primary customers?

"Healthcare, Financial, Real Estate, Automotive and Energy sectors"

When and how did you start your business?

"I started in 2006 doing basic computer support and repair. I had a passion for technology, and after six years in the IT industry, I decided to venture out on my own and start my own computer support company. I started it out of a one-bedroom apartment. I would wake up early to market my business at various events and stay up late designing marketing materials, pricing out my services, and finding partnerships to assist in my growth."

Business Growth Challenges - Growing Through Challenge and Change

What were some of the challenges in starting your business?

"As with most businesses, my main challenge is lead generation and client acquisition. Finding a repeatable and scalable way to bring in a consistent flow of leads that convert to new net business is difficult."

What is the key to the success of your business?

"My key to success was documentation. It was developing systems that generated repeatable success on both the operational and technical sides of the business."

What lessons learned can you share with people to make their business succeed?

"Consistency is key. Document everything you do and find the process that works. Turn that process into a system. Train staff on that system as the standard in how you conduct business."

What pitfalls should they avoid?

"Saying Yes to everything. It's hard to turn something down initially but remember, when you say yes to something, you are saying no to something else. Know your target market, your demographic, and what value you provide to that market, and go to work."

What other information about you and your business would you like to share with the NaVOBA Community?

"I'm a published author of three books (the fourth coming next month) and a proud father of teenage twins!"

"My dream car is a lifted F-250 customized truck. I'm very blessed to have it sitting in my driveway. It symbolizes my hard work and getting to a place I wondered was possible. I had to take a shot at answering this."

"If I wasn't a business owner, what would I do? I would hope I was impacting an organization in their technology department. I would wish I was working with technology that was putting good back into the world."
