  • When and how did you start your business?

St. George Equipment LLC was founded in August 2020 with a clear mission: to provide end users with complete and reliable charging solutions that competitors often overlooked. Recognizing a gap in the market, our team set out to deliver not just products, but comprehensive support that ensures customers have everything they need to keep their operations powered and efficient.

From the beginning, our focus has been on industrial batteries, chargers, and maintenance services. By combining technical expertise with a commitment to service, we’ve built a company dedicated to reliability, responsiveness, and customer success.

  • What challenges did you face when starting your business?

"Competition with Established Providers – Breaking into a space dominated by larger, well-known competitors required differentiating through better service, responsiveness, and complete charging solutions.

Building Trust & Credibility – As a new Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, you had to prove reliability to both government buyers and private-sector customers.

Supply Chain & Inventory Management – Securing dependable sources for industrial batteries, chargers, and parts while maintaining affordability posed early hurdles.

Customer Education – Many end users weren’t aware of all the charging solutions available, so part of your challenge was helping customers understand options beyond what competitors offered."

  • What has been the key to your business's success?

The success of St. George Equipment LLC is built on our commitment to delivering complete, reliable charging and power solutions with unmatched customer service. By combining technical expertise with the values of integrity and accountability as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business and NaVOBA certified, we have earned the trust of government and industrial customers alike. Our ability to adapt, respond quickly, and provide end-to-end solutions remains the foundation of our continued growth.

  • What important lessons have you learned that can help others succeed in business?

Owning St. George Equipment LLC has taught me that the foundation of long-term success lies in building strong relationships, staying adaptable in changing markets, and providing customer service that outperforms larger competitors. I’ve learned that persistence pays off, that leveraging my strengths as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned and NaVOBA certified Small Business sets us apart, and that every challenge is an opportunity to learn and grow.

  • What common mistakes should they be aware of and avoid?

As a business owner, I’ve learned that avoiding common pitfalls is as important as pursuing new opportunities. Key risks to steer clear of include neglecting cash flow management, expanding too quickly, and failing to differentiate from competitors. Strong supplier relationships, consistent compliance, and attentive customer service are non-negotiables. Ultimately, the businesses that succeed are the ones that adapt, invest in people, and never lose sight of the value they bring to their customers.

  • What else would you like the NaVOBA community to know about you and your business?

Differentiator: Providing complete charging solutions, not just parts of the system, with responsive customer support and technical expertise.

Pursuing ISO 9001 / ITAR certification (by late 2025).

Successfully launched and grew a company during the challenges of 2020, earned government certifications, and established credibility in a competitive industry.

Our vision: To expand St. George Equipment into a premier provider of industrial power solutions nationwide and international, while continuing to support federal and commercial customers with unmatched service.
