Help Your City Support Veteran-Owned Businesses
Some cities are setting measurable goals to support Veteran-owned businesses. You can help your community do the same.
WHY THIS MATTERS
Bring Contracting Goals to Your City
Local governments control billions in purchasing, yet very few have clear goals for contracting with Veteran-owned businesses. When a city steps forward—like Frederick, Maryland with its 2% target—it sends a strong signal that Veterans matter in its economic strategy.
NaVOBA is working to identify where these local contracting initiatives already exist — and to help expand them nationwide.
Many communities don’t have programs like this yet, and we’re preparing everyday community members with the guidance and tools they need to approach local officials and encourage similar goals in their own cities.
Through this effort, we aim to empower individuals to take meaningful action in their communities, creating measurable opportunities for Veteran-owned businesses to thrive.
If your city already has a program, share it with us.
If it doesn’t, NaVOBA will show you how to help make it happen. Email LocalTracker@navoba.org to get involved, or fill out the form below.
