NaVOBA Corporate Ally Dollar General Opens 2026 Call for Small Businesses

NaVOBA Corporate Ally Dollar General has announced its annual Call for Small Businesses, inviting eligible U.S.-based small businesses to explore potential vendor opportunities with one of the nation’s largest retailers.

As a NaVOBA Corporate Ally, Dollar General shares in NaVOBA’s efforts to create greater opportunities for Veteran-owned businesses in the private sector. The company’s latest Call for Small Businesses offers another avenue for eligible entrepreneurs, including Veteran business owners, to introduce their products and explore potential relationships with a major national retailer.

The initiative is open to U.S.-based small businesses that have not sold products to Dollar General within the past 18 months. Applications are open through Monday, August 17, 2026, and selected businesses will be invited to participate in virtual meetings with Dollar General’s Small Business Development (SBD) team this fall.

Connecting Small Businesses with Corporate Opportunities

Dollar General’s 2026 Call for Small Businesses builds on the company’s multi-year initiative to increase its engagement with a variety of small businesses.

“At Dollar General, our mission of Serving Others is grounded in providing meaningful products to our customers, and we are committed to engaging with a wide variety of vendors and suppliers across the country to help us fulfill that promise,” said Bryan Wheeler, Dollar General’s executive vice president and chief merchandising officer.

“We look forward to connecting with small businesses, learning about their offerings and exploring opportunities to collectively deliver the products our customers want and need.”

With more than 21,000 stores nationwide, Dollar General offers small businesses the opportunity to engage with a retailer serving customers in communities across the country.

For NaVOBA’s network of Veteran-owned businesses, initiatives like this demonstrate the value of building connections between corporations and qualified small business suppliers. These relationships can help Veteran entrepreneurs gain greater visibility, develop corporate relationships and pursue new opportunities in the private sector.

Supporting Small Business Growth

The opportunity extends beyond an initial introduction. Dollar General’s Small Business Development Program provides certified vendors with a variety of resources designed to support business development and growth.

These include opportunities to learn and develop through the company’s SBD Academy, product discovery resources, access to services providing funding, counseling and training, financial enablement programs and additional engagement events.

Dollar General’s work to engage small businesses complements NaVOBA’s mission to create corporate contracting opportunities for America’s Veteran-owned businesses and strengthen connections between Veteran entrepreneurs and Corporate America.
