Fun Facts:
- In 10 years, I see myself leading Bamboo Village Books as a nationally recognized, Veteran-owned publisher that champions diverse voices, supports community literacy programs and inspires the next generation of authors. I also see our puzzle book series in schools, libraries and wellness centers nationwide.
- To relax, I enjoy spending time in the garden with my wife, where we grow vegetables and flowers as a way to stay grounded. I also love solving puzzles, reading epic fantasy and traveling on short trips that recharge my creativity.
- People might be interested to know that the name Bamboo Village Books came from my childhood experiences in Trinidad and Tobago, walking with my mother through bamboo groves to visit my father’s village. Those moments of storytelling, laughter and community inspired the heart of this business.

When and how did you start your business?
Bamboo Village Books was founded in December 2023 in San Antonio, Texas by Quinton Taylor-Garcia, a U.S. military Veteran. The company was born from a passion for storytelling, community service and providing an outlet for Veterans and independent authors to share their voices. Inspired by personal experiences of healing through writing, Bamboo Village Books was created as both a publisher and a community pillar dedicated to empowerment through books.
